Job Summary:
The Welders will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and joining metal materials to create or repair various metal structures and equipment. This role requires expertise in welding techniques, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform various types of welding on different metals.
• Assemble metal structures and components using appropriate welding techniques.
• Measure and align metal parts to ensure proper assembly.
• Cut, grind, and shape metal pieces using power tools, saws, and other equipment.
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure proper preparation before welding.
• Repair or replace faulty equipment and components as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing protective gear and maintaining a safe workspace.
• Inspect welding equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working order.
• Document completed projects and repairs for record-keeping.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Diploma or Certificate in welding or related field
• Proven experience as a Welder or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• May include shift work, overtime, and weekend hours depending on production needs.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
